ABOUT US

Since 1894 The Arusha Hotel has watched as the once sleepy town of Arusha has grown up around it. From its central vantage point at the famous Clock Tower roundabout and overlooked by the majestic shadow of Mount Meru, this is the finest place to stay in Arusha.

TRADITION AND EXPERIENCE

The Arusha Hotel has always played a leading role in Tanzania’s colourful history. After extensive renovation and refurbishment, the hotel (formerly The New Arusha Hotel) is now the leading and best-loved hotel in Arusha town, making it the natural choice for visitors to Arusha, be it for business or adventure.

The hotel has 86 deluxe en-suite rooms, WiFi Internet throughout, fine dining and a fully equipped gym and pool area.  In addition to this, we also offer safe off-street parking with 24hr security and 24hr check-in with around the clock food and beverage facilities.

“At the Arusha Hotel, we provide an all-around first class and attentive service on an international level with our own classic and signature style.”

John Cowan – General Manager

THE VERY BEST SETTING

The Arusha Hotel nestles in the most beautifully landscaped gardens in the region. With rolling lawns, abundant trees, a large variety of exotic plants and stunning iridescent birdlife, the gardens of The Arusha Hotel provide an oasis from the bustling town. Just after the rains, the garden is alive with vibrantly coloured butterflies and flowers.

Our proud gardeners lovingly attend the grounds using their imagination, natural dedication and green fingers!

A mixed variety of tropical blooms and plants, tall trees for shading and flowerbeds full of colour, shape this beautiful vista.

The hotel has evolved very much around the garden, it’s focal point from most angles. Lantern posts light a labyrinth of paths through the grounds and an old set of brick steps leads down to our lower gardens.

Step into our African country garden and explore it for yourself.
